Doelwitte
Bevorder die bewusmaking en bewaring van die voëls in ons omgewing en skep geleenthede vir mense om hulle ondervinding en kennis met ander te deel deur die:
•	Organisering van aanbiedings/praatjies/lesings.
•	Aanbieding van voëlidentifasiekursusse vir beginners, sowel as meer gevorderde kursusse oor “Klein Vaal Voëltjies” en diesulkes.
•	Organisering van voëluitstappies.
•	Ondersteuning van die Suider-Afrikaanse Voëlatlas projek deur gestruktureerde atlaswerk in Hessequa.
•	Ondersteuning van die “Virtual Museum” deur die indien van foto’s van voëls, soogdiere, reptiele, naaldekokers en waterjuffers en nog meer.

Deelname aan Voëlgroep aktiwiteite
Nie-lede van U3A Stilbaai kan deelneem aan die atlasprojek en kan die Voëlgroep se aanbiedings en praatjies bywoon teen dieselfde nominale gelde wat aan lede ook gehef word. Die kursusse en uitstappies sal egter net vir lede wees.

Objectives
Promote awareness and protection of birds in our region and create opportunities for people to share their experience and knowledge with others by:
•	Organising bird presentations/talks/lectures.
•	Presenting bird identification courses for beginners, as well as more advanced courses on “Little Brown Jobs” and the like.
•	Organising bird outings.
•	Supporting the Southern African Bird Atlas Project by structured atlasing in Hessequa.
•	Supporting the Virtual Museum by submitting photos of birds, mammals, reptiles, dragonflies and damselflies and more.

Participation in Bird Group activities
Non-members of U3A Stilbaai can participate in the atlas project and attend the Bird Group’s presentations and talks at the same nominal fee as members, but the courses and outings will be for members only.
