If you want to submit photo's for the album, please send them to Lawrence Barltrop. He will screen the photos and send them on for inclusion in the album.
Please note that only photos by members of U3A Stilbaai will be accepted for this website.

Photo Albums
The number of photographs submitted have increased rapidly, and we now have albums for individual photographers, those with few photos are sharing an album. Currently we have the following albums available (click on name to open):

Tips for preparing photos for a website.
Preparing photographs for a website differs from preparation for printing photographs. Here are a few tips for enhancing the albums.
•	Before sending your photo's, you can resize them to less than 1MB if you have the appropriate software (FastStone Image Viewer is free, user-friendly, and can do many things to enhance a photo; download and read the tutorial). We cannot place pictures on the website that are too large, both physically and in file size.
•	Good print photo's require high resolution, but for websites the standard resolution is 72 ppi (pixels per inch); on a normal monitor there is no difference between a 300 or 600 ppi photo and a 72 ppi photo. When using Photoshop or a similar programme to save photo's to the web, the photo is automatically saved at 72 ppi.
•	To make the albums more interesting, please provide us with a short caption for each photo - either in the file name or separately in your email.
•	Some photos may be sequential, but keep in mind when they are saved from the email, they are saved in alphabetical and/or numerical order by file name. If you wish them to be displayed in sequence, either rename so that they are saved sequentially, or list them in your email.

Foto-Albums
Die aantal foto's ingedien het vinnig toegeneem en ons het nou albums vir individuele fotograwe, dié met min foto's is in een album. Tans het ons die volgende albums (klik op naam om oop te maak):

Wenke om foto's vir 'n webtuiste voor te berei.
Om foto's vir 'n webuiste voor te berei verskil van foto's wat gedruk word. Hier is 'n paar wenke wat sal help om die albums te verbeter.
•	Voordat u die foto's stuur, kan u die grootte verander na minder as 1MB indien u geskikte sagteware hiervoor het (FastStone Image Viewer is gratis, gebruikers-vriendelik, en kan baie dinge doen om 'n foto te verbeter; laai ook die gids af en lees). Ons kan nie foto's wat te groot is, beide fisies en in lêer-grootte, op die webtuiste plaas nie.
•	Goeie foto's vir druk vereis 'n hoë resolusie, maar vir 'n webtuiste is die standaard resolusie 72 ppi ("pixels per inch"); op 'n normale monitor is daar geen verskil tussen 'n foto van 300 of 600 ppi en een van 72 ppi nie. Wanneer 'n program soos Photoshop gebruik word om foto's na 'n webtuiste te stoor, word hulle outomaties op 72 ppi gestoor.
•	Om die albums meer interessant te maak, voorsien ons asseblief van 'n kort opskrif vir elke foto - of in die lêernaam, of in u epos.
•	Sommige foto's mag in volgorde wees, maar wanneer hulle van die epos gestoor word, verskyn hulle in alfabetiese en/of numeriese volgorde volgens lêernaam. As die foto's in volgorde vertoon moet word, gee hulle asseblief nuwe name sodat hulle in volgorde gestoor word, of lys hulle in u epos.
