Lidmaatskap

Lidmaatskap is oop vir enige iemand wat belangstel in die bevordering van U3A Stilbaai se doelwitte soos uiteengesit in sy grondwet (kliek hier).

Ledegelde beloop R50 per persoon per jaar. Jy kan aansluit deur kontant te betaal by ’n maandelikse vergadering, of – verkieslik – deur ’n EFO na ons bankrekening (sien hieronder vir besonderhede.)

As ledegeld per EFO betaal word, vul asseblief jou NAAM in as verwysing. Enige betalings wat sonder ’n naam ontvang word, sal met dank as ’n skenking aanvaar word – maar dit sal beteken dat jou ledegeld nog uitstaande is.

Bevestig asseblief jou betaling deur ’n e-pos te stuur na info@u3astilbaai.org sodat ons jou betaling kan registreer. Die bank se bevestiging aan ons van jou betaling bevat nie jou e-posadres nie. Alle e-posadresse word vertroulik hanteer.

MOET ASSEBLIEF NIE jou ledegeld oor die toonbank by ABSA betaal nie – die transaksiefooi alleen is ongeveer R70. Ook nie per kaartlose kontantdeposito nie; die fooi is byna R12.

Membership

Membership is open to anyone interested in advancing U3A Stilbaai’s objectives as outlined in its constitution (click here).

Membership fees are R50 per person per year. You may join by paying cash at a monthly meeting or – preferably – by EFT to our bank account (see below for details).

When paying by EFT, please enter your NAME in the reference field. Payments received without a name will be gratefully accepted as a donation – but your membership fee will then remain outstanding.

Please confirm your payment by sending an email to info@u3astilbaai.org, so that we can register your payment. Note that the bank’s confirmation to us of your payment does not include your email address. All email addresses are considered confidential.

PLEASE DO NOT pay over the counter at ABSA, as the transaction fee is approximately R70, nor via cardless cash deposit, which incurs a fee of about R12.

Wet op Beskerming van Persoonlike Inligting 4 van 2013.

Hierdie wet (bekend as die POPI Wet) is sedert 1 Julie 2021 van krag. Die doel van die wet is om mense se persoonlike inligting, wat deur openbare of private liggame verwerk word, te beskerm. Soos enige organisasie in Suid-Afrika is U3A Stilbaai ook onderhewig aan die bepalings van hierdie wet.

U3A Stilbaai bewaar die volgende inligting van ons lede in ons databasis:
 • Naam
 • E-pos adres
 • Kontaknommer (verkieslik selfoon)
Ons stoor geen ander persoonlike inligting in ons databasis nie – nie eers ’n fisiese of ’n posadres nie.

Die name van ons lede mag aan ander organisasies of persone beskikbaar gestel word op grond van ’n geldige rede vooraf goedgekeur deur die Komitee. Ons sal NIE jou e-posadres of kontaknommer aan enige ander organisasie of persoon verskaf sonder jou uitdruklike goedkeuring nie.

Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013

The Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (known as the POPI Act) became effective on 1 July 2021. The purpose of the act is to protect personal information processed by both public and private bodies. Like every organisation in South Africa, U3A Stilbaai is subject to the provisions of this act.

U3A Stilbaai stores the following information about our members in our database:
 • Name
 • Email addrress
 • Contact number (preferably cellphone)
We do not retain any other personal information in our database, not even a physical or postal address.

The names of our members may be shared with other organisations or individuals for a legitimate purpose, provided that such a reason is approved by the Committee. We will NOT provide any organisation or person with your email address or contact number unless you have given your explicit approval.
